Tailor Made Attitude

Why must we take the shots under such hot sun?! "Well, we need the good lighting so that DI (Digital Imaging) can be done easily in case we need to alter the mood to look like an evening scene later on. If we shoot in the evening, colours and lighting will be hard to adjust later," CK said. Yah.. easy for him to say... he's not the one trying to keep still without any pants on while pretending to play a guitar on a burning hot railing! Poor SK..

Passer-by Alert!!! Quick, SK! Preserve your modesty with the guitar!

The second scene went smoothly. There was a dilapidated building a short distance away to provide some camouflage & its quite far from any visible buildings. However the location was still quite open and we had to quickly get the job done. It seems as though we are attracting too much attention from some people in the buildings about 100m away from us. Better get out of here before the poilce come for us!

Just done with setting up & trying to get the test shots and capturing the right angle.
3:45pm
Still trying to get the test shots and capturing the right angle...

CK is still not satisfied. SK is tired from twisting and turning to make his body look like he's in mid air... KS is still going strong...

After 2 changes of lighting & setups, the shots are still not right. We want the model to pose like a real skating pro but the shots were unrealistic as there is not enough spontaneity in the pose. Gosh... suddenly someone had a bright idea! Why don't we just make SK jump on the spot to replicate the motion so that his muscles & bodily gestures will be more realistic? We can always DI the skateboard in later! What a great idea!

OK... everybody out of the studio except the photographer, director and of course, the model. No peeping while the model has a swinging good time taking the photos.

It's a wrap!!! Time for dinner!

One final scene to go before we call it a day. This last shot is really the highlight of the day as it involves a cast of 5 to be in the scene.
The challenge is to recreate this secluded back lane so that it looks like a popular 'Mamak' store. In addition, it will be taken in the dark and it must look like a bustling sidewalk hawker stand that is busy with activities! Of cos, dear SK will be our 'bottomless' hero having a drink with his buddy and chilling out on his favourite 'Iced-Kopi'.
Gee.. look at this dump.. How can they possibly make this deserted lane look like a 'Mamak'??
